Australian growers are once again bringing in their high-quality Navel Oranges from the country’s vast hectares of pristine orange orchards for Filipinos to enjoy,” she said. “Each orange has been treated with the utmost care through all stages of the supply chain to ensure Filipino consumers get the best eating experience possible.”
David Daniels, General Manager of Citrus Australia, revealed that “the Philippines ranks as Australia’s fourth largest citrus market. In 2012, we exported a single container of oranges —to the Philippines, just 26 tonnes. Last year, we reached a record trade volume of 15,000 tonnes in mandarins and oranges. And that was despite major challenges with labor and disruptions to the supply chain.”
The demand for Australian oranges is understandably high as the country produces one of the best color and flavor of any citrus in the world. They are in peak season until October and will run until November and Grown in Good Nature strongly encourages consumers to take advantage of this harvest season and indulge in this sweet, high quality, nutritious fruit.
